Meet the Pigs

Meet Oreo, Snickers, and Zoey! While Oreo has been around for a while, Zoey and Snickers are brand new! Currently they are caged together for a two week quarantine time before being introduced to Oreo. This is to make sure that they have not arrived with any illness they could end up giving to Oreo. After the two weeks are up they will be slowly introduced to each other and hopefully bond. During the next two weeks I plan to help Zoey and Snickers bond more as they are not a completely bonded pair and are still very young (Zoey - 4 weeks and Snickers - 6 weeks). Oreo

Meet Oreo. She is the fourth guinea pig I have had. She used to have two play mates: Callie and Patch. Callie passed away late December of 2015 and Patch followed only a couple weeks later. Oreo joined Patch and Callie two years after their arrival. Within a year, Oreo was placed in her own cage as she was not getting along with the other two while in the cage, but was fine during floor time. So, they became play mates instead of cage mates. Oreo is one of the few guinea pigs that do not tend to like living with others, but we will soon be giving it another try after letting her live alone without any other pigs for a while. The hope is that this time with a bigger cage and more space, she will get along with Snickers and Zoey once they are ready to be introduced.

Snickers

Meet Snickers. She is one of the newbies along with Zoey. She is a multi-colored abyssinian guinea pig and very adventurous. There was a lot of ideas of what to call her, but Snickers won. Currently she is cage mates with Zoey, but will eventually be introduced to Oreo after a period of quarantine (about two weeks from adoption date). More info about Snickers will come as I learn more about her!

Zoey

Meet Zoey. She is a newbie along with Snickers. She is an albino abyssinian guinea pig and very cuddly (which is awesome for her age!). She is also the youngest of the three piggies and seeks comfort from Snickers often. The two are not a bonded pair yet, but are well on their way. The goal is to bond them before they are introduced to Oreo. More info to come on Zoey as I learn more about her!
